The rake probe is a linear array of Langmuir tips to measure radial profiles of selected parameters of the edge plasma in a single tokamak discharge. The presented design of the probe head consists of 16 Langmuir tips spaced by 2.5 mm. This distance defines the spatial resolution of the measurement. The tips are made of molybdenum wire of the diameter 0.6 mm. The length of the tip is l = 3.3 mm.
The individual tips can operate in two modes: Floating potential mode and Ion saturation current mode.
